Step 1: Quote & contract
Tell us what you need. Our designers put together drawings and an organized, easy-to-read quote, then work through the details with you until the building is yours.

Both make good homes. The difference is in the frame and what sits under it.
BarndominiumPost-frame: large posts carry the roof, so the walls don’t have to
Traditional homeStick-framed 2x6 walls carry the roof
BarndominiumPosts set in the ground or on footings, with a concrete slab
Traditional homeA block foundation or a basement
BarndominiumWide, open spans with few interior bearing walls
Traditional homeRooms laid out conventionally, with beams for long spans
BarndominiumEasy to put under the same roof as the house
Traditional homeAn attached or detached garage beside the house
BarndominiumRural lots, open plans, living space beside a big shop
Traditional homeA basement, a neighborhood lot or a conventional look
A house takes longer to permit than a barn, but the process is the one we use on every building.

We manage the permits for you, wherever you live. Homes usually take 3 to 5 months to permit, depending on the county. Garages and farm buildings move faster.
Our crews build it and our project managers keep you posted every step of the way. Final payment comes after the county’s final inspection.

Yes. We build traditional homes with a block foundation or basement and 2x6 stud-framed walls, as well as post-frame barndominiums.
Yes. A traditional home can sit on a full basement or a block foundation. Whether a basement makes sense depends on your lot, the soil and how high the water table sits, which we look at before drawing.

If you want a big shop or garage under the same roof and wide open rooms, a barndominium is a natural fit. If you want a basement, or your lot or HOA expects a conventional house, a traditional home may suit you better. We build both, so we can talk it through honestly.
