Getting the most out of it.

  1. Start with what goes inside

Measure the truck, the boat on its trailer or the tallest piece of equipment, and size the doors and wall height around it. Our guide to pole barn sizes shows what usually fits in a 24 by 24, a 30 by 40 or a 40 by 60.

  2. Think about the lot

Counties and towns set how close a building can sit to your property lines and how tall it can be. Leave room for the driveway and for turning a trailer in. We check the rules for your address before anything is final.

Permit offices by county and town
  3. Don’t worry about getting it perfect

The designer is a starting point. When you send it, our designers turn it into drawings and an organized, easy-to-read quote, and we work through the details with you.

    How it works

After you send it.

Your design goes to our office. From there it’s the same three steps as every building we put up.

How it works
  1. Step 1: Quote & contract

Tell us what you need. Our designers put together drawings and an organized, easy-to-read quote, then work through the details with you until the building is yours.

  2. Step 2: Permits

We manage the permits for you, wherever you live. Homes usually take 3 to 5 months to permit, depending on the county. Garages and farm buildings move faster.

  3. Step 3: Construction

Our crews build it and our project managers keep you posted every step of the way. Final payment comes after the county’s final inspection.

Questions about the designer.

Still wondering about something? Call us at 302-399-4420.

Is the 3D designer free?

Yes. It runs in your web browser, there’s nothing to install, and you can design as many buildings as you like before you send one to us.

How do I get a quote for my design?

Use the Request a Free Quote button at the top of the designer. Your design comes to our office, and we follow up to talk it through, then prepare drawings and a quote.

Can I save my design or show it to someone?

Yes. The designer has Save, Share and Print buttons, so you can come back to a design or send it to your family before you decide.

Do I have to use the designer to get a quote?

No. You can call us at 302-399-4420 or send the quote form, and we’ll start from a conversation instead.

Let’s start building together.

Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll come back with drawings and a free quote.
